Ħal-Kirkop Wins European Village Of Christmas 2026

Kirkop’s popular Christmas attraction, the Klaus Percopus Village, has been awarded as the European Village of Christmas 2026.
The award forms part of a Europe-wide initiative known as the European Capitals of Christmas.
Along with Kirkop, Barcelona in Spain, and Wels in Australia, were also recognised with this award.
Kirkop announced the news of the recognition on their Facebook, stating that “With pride we announce that Ħal Kirkop was chosen as the European Village of Christmas 2026.”
The winners are chosen by an international panel of judges, and last year’s accolades were given to Vilnius in Lithuania, Celje in Slovenia, and Noja in Spain.
