The Armed Forces of Malta welcomed Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, last Saturday at San Anton Gardens.
‘One of the primary roles of the Armed Forces of Malta is to support the Head of State through security duties and ceremonial responsibilities at the President’s Office and official residences’, the AFM explained.
‘In this context, on Saturday afternoon, an Honour Guard was mounted at San Anton Gardens, Attard, in honour of the visit of he Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, during his courtesy call on the President of Malta, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono.’
