AFM Special Operations member Completes Advanced Climbing Course In Italy

A member of the Armed Forces of Malta’s Special Operations Unit (SOU) has successfully completed an advanced climbing course at the Centro Addestramento Alpino in Corvara, Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Armed Forces.
This intensive and demanding course focused on advanced techniques in multi-pitch and traditional climbing, technical rope work, and the development of decision-making and risk management skills in complex and high-risk environments.
The expertise gained during this training will directly enhance the SOU’s operational capabilities, particularly in missions requiring high levels of technical proficiency and safety in challenging terrain.
