AFM Safely Dispose WWII Bomb After It Was Found In Imqabba Residence

Earlier today, a section from the Armed Forces of Malta Explosive ordnance Disposal team, 3 Regiment, responded to a report of suspected unexploded ordnance in an Imqabba residence.

The item was confirmed to be a World War II relic.

‘EOD specialists assessed the ordnance and found it to be unstable. For public safety, a controlled on‑site disposal was carried out. All precautions were taken to safeguard nearby residents and property.’

‘The AFM reminds the public to follow these safety guidelines if they come across suspected unexploded ordnance: don’t touch the item; call 112 immediately; if in doubt treat it as unexploded ordnance.
