AFM Rescue Two After Boat Sinks In Sliema Area

Two people were rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta this morning after their boat began sinking in the Sliema area.

The Armed Forces of Malta said it was alerted to the incident after receiving reports of two individuals in difficulty at sea. A rescue operation was immediately launched, with an AFM vessel dispatched to the area to assist.

Upon arriving at the scene, AFM personnel successfully recovered both individuals from the water and brought them safely aboard. The rescued persons were subsequently transferred to medical personnel from Mater Dei Hospital for further assessment and care.

The condition of the two individuals has not yet been disclosed.
