Three members of the Armed Forces of Malta have successfully completed a one-and-a-half-month Shooting Instructor Course held in Rome, Italy.

The comprehensive programme covered a wide range of topics, including the roles and responsibilities of shooting instructors, safety regulations, and the fundamentals of firearms and ammunition.

Participants were also trained in various shooting techniques and positions, incorporating the use of holsters and timers to enhance practical skills.

In addition, the course included a first aid training session specifically designed to address potential incidents that may occur during shooting exercises, further strengthening the participants’ preparedness and safety awareness.

The training concluded with both theoretical and practical assessments, ensuring that all candidates met the required standards of proficiency. All three AFM personnel successfully achieved the qualification, marking an important step in enhancing the Force’s instructional capability and professional development.
