AFM Helicopter Evacuates Fisherman Who Suffered Hand Injury Out At Sea

This morning, the Rescue Coordination Centre within the Armed Forces of Malta received a request for a medical evacuation from a fishing vessel at sea.
A crew member required immediate medical attention due to a grievous hand injury.
An Armed Forces of Malta AW 139 helicopter was dispatched and successfully conducted the medical evacuation.
Upon landing, the crew member was handed over to the medical staff of Mater Dei Hospital for further medical care.
The fisherman’s state is currently unknown.
