A group of animal rights activists protested outside the Maltese law courts as the suspected cat killer was arraigned.

The 31 year old Japanese man has been accused of killing several cats in the past days, and has reportedly plead guilty.

Protesters cried out ‘shame on you’, and called him ‘sick’ and a ‘bloody murderer’. A follow up video by activist Romina Frendo revealed that the suspect plead guilty.

He reportedly has a clear police conduct and therefore has a limited amount of legal punishment that can be meted out to him.

Court proceedings set to continue in coming days.
