Acting President Helena Dalli Visits Maltese Blind Farmers In Mtaħleb

Acting President of Malta, Helena Dalli, visited the non-governmental organisation Maltese Blind Farmers, which provides opportunities for visually impaired individuals to cultivate their own fruit and vegetables at a farm in Mtaħleb.

During her visit, Her Excellency met with the owners of the Wied Rini farm, Mr Charles Micallef and his family, as well as the leadership of the Visual Non-Visual Network and participants involved in the cultivation work carried out at the site.

Among those she met was ten-year-old Lee Abela, who has been growing his own produce for several years. The Acting President also listened to the experiences of other visually impaired people who regularly attend and contribute to the farm’s activities.
