Respondents were asked which political leader they would rather see as Malta’s Prime Minister. Among those who voted for the Labour Party in 2022, a strong 85.6% said they prefer Robert Abela. Just 1.1% mentioned Alex Borg, while the rest were either undecided (6.5%), said they prefer no one (3.6%) or chose someone else (3.2%).
On the other side, among those who voted Nationalist in 2022, 85.9% said they prefer Alex Borg as Prime Minister. A small 1.4% opted for Robert Abela, with the remaining respondents either undecided (5.6%), preferring no one (5.2%) or choosing another option (1.9%).
After projections were made to account for those who did not give a clear answer, the final figures show Robert Abela preferred by 44.4% of respondents, compared to 34.7% for Alex Borg. Meanwhile, 9.2% said they prefer neither leader, 9.0% remain undecided, and 2.8% chose someone else.
