96.19% Of Registered Voters Submit Votes Yesterday

The Electoral Commission has announced a remarkably high voter turnout in the General Election held on Tuesday, 26th May 2026, with 96.19% of registered voters casting their votes by 10.00 p.m.

According to the Commission, a total of 6,821 voters were registered to participate in the election, of which 6,561 individuals voted during the day’s polling process, indicating one of the highest levels of voter participation recorded in recent years.

Polling stations operated throughout the day, with voters steadily turning out to cast their votes in what resulted in a high voting turn out.

Election officials are expected to continue the counting and verification process before final certified results are announced. Further updates from the Electoral Commission are anticipated as the electoral process progresses.
