92% Of Maltese Believe Partners Should Share Equal Roles For Chores And Child Raising

A recent study by Malta's National Statistics Office has revealed that Maltese people think about the division of household responsibilities.

When asked to express their views on gender norms in relation to household duties, 92% of Maltese respondents stated that all partners in a couple household should have equal responsibility when it comes to chores.

Additionally, the same 92% agreed that duties related to children should also be equally split.

When asked whether both parties should contribute financially to the household, 88% agreed.

The majority of respondents disagreed that tertiary education is more important for boys when compared to girls (90%), and that men are generally better political leaders than women (81%).
