9 Baby Sharks Released By Malta National Aquarium

Local
9 baby nursehound sharks, a harmless bottom-dwelling species, plays an important role in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems.
These particular sharks were rescued as eggs from local fish markets and nurtured with care in the aquarium until they were strong enough to survive in the wild.
The Malta National Aquarium has shared several snapshots and a video from the shark realise that took place on Saturday 21st June.
This latest release is part of the aquarium’s long-standing collaboration with Sharklab Malta, an organisation committed to marine conservation.
