81 Year Old Woman Robber Of Bag Whilst Walking In Birkirkara

Intensive investigations by police in relation to a robbery of an elderly person yielded in the arrest of the alleged thief.
The case took place last Sunday, when around 1900hrs, an 81 year old woman resident of Birkirkara reported at the police station that she had been robbed whilst walking in Triq Santa Liena, Birkirkara.
Investigations showed that the victim was walking when a man dressed in black attacked her and took her bag. The thief fled the scene, with the victim not suffering any injuries.
More investigations showed led to the identification of the thief, a 36 year old man who was arrested in Ħal-Qormi.
He is expected to be taken to court in the coming days.
