8.8 Primary/Secondary Students Per Teacher In Malta In 2023

According to new information released by Eurostat, there was an average of 8.8 students per teacher in Malta in 2023 in primary and secondary schools.
This was the second lowest rate in the EU, and was shared by Luxembourg and Croatia. The lowest rate was registered by Greece at 8.4 and the third lowest by Belgium at 10.0.
The highest pupil-teacher ratio was registered in The Netherlands with 16.0 pupils per teacher. France and Slovakia followed at 14.9 and 14.7 respectively.
In the EU, there was an average of 12.2 students per teacher in primary and secondary schools.
