71 Year Old Cyclist Grievously Injured After Crash With Mercedes In Ħal Luqa

Today, at around 0915hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Ħal Qormi, Ħal Luqa.
Police convened immediately on site and found that a crash had taken place between a 71 year old man resident of Ħal Kirkop riding a bicycle, and a Mercedes being driven by a 24 year old man resident of Naxxar.
The cyclist was given medical aid on site and transported to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
Investigations are still ongoing.
