71 Persons Living In Malta Illegally Arrested in Malta & Gozo Inspections

In coordinated inspections carried out in the past few days, the Malta Police Force arrested 71 persons found living in Malta illegally.
The inspections took place in Marsalforn, Xlendi and Rabat, Gozo, as well as Marsa, with the Detention Agency Services assisting in the inspections.
The individuals hailed from Nigeria, Liberia, Albania, Somalia, Nepal, Ghana, India, Syria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Gambia, Mali, Pakistan, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Guinea and Ivory Coast.
The individuals are being held in detention centres awaiting repatriation.
