70 Persons Found living & Working In Malta Irregularly

In the past few days, work by the Malta Police Force continued investigations regarding irregular work and residence in Malta.
In operations around Malta, 70 persons were arrested for living and/or working under irregular conditions.
The inspections took place on public transport, passenger vehicles and constructions sites.
The persons arrested hailed from Syria, Nigeria, Nepal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Gambia, Niger, Yemen, Jordan, Pakistan and India.
They are all being held at a detention centre before their repatriation, with the work undertaken by JobsPlus and Identita, along with the police and Detention Agency Service.
