7.8% Of Maltese Struggled To Keep Their Home Warm In 2024

According to data released by Eurostat, just 7.8% of Maltese struggled to keep their home warm in 2024.
This was below the EU average of 9.2%, with the countries registering the highest struggle to keep their home warm being Bulgaria and Greece at 19%.
Lithuania and Spain registered the 2nd and 3rd highest shares at 18% and 17.5% respectively.
The lowest was registered in Finland at 2.7%, followed by Poland and Slovenia at 3.3% respectively. Estonia and Luxembourg both registered 3.6%.
The 9.2% share was a 1.4% improvement over 2023.
