67-YEAR-OLD MOTORCYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED IN PAOLA ROAD COLLISION

A 67-year-old man from Valletta suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident in Paola yesterday afternoon.
Police were informed of the incident at around 4pm on Triq Ħal Luqa in Paola and immediately went to the scene.
Initial investigations established that a collision had occurred between a Romet Motors Vanilla 110 motorcycle, ridden by the 67-year-old man, and a Honda Civic driven by a 37-year-old man from Tarxien.
The motorcyclist was assisted at the scene by a medical team before being transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
