67.9% Of Maltese Say They Are Content With Their Life

According to the State of the Nation, 67.9% of Maltese said that they are happy with their life, which is a 4.2% decrease from 2025.
4.2% said they are not happy with their life, wheres 27.7% said it could be better.
Meanwhile, 73.1% of respondents said that they were most successful in 2026, whereas 21.7% said they could have been more successful. 4.1% said 2026 was not successful.
74.2% of workers said they have been successful in life. 62.1% of students also said so, accompanied by 73.2% of stay-at-home wives/husbands.
Unemployed persons were more likely to say they made it in life, with 58.3% said they made it and 25% saying they could have done more.
This study consists of a sample of 1,064 people aged 16 and over. The sample was collected between the third week of June and the second week of July of this year.
