65 Turtle Hatchlings Reach the Sea at Ramla l-Ħamra

The fifth turtle nest of the 2025 season, located at Ramla l-Ħamra Bay in Gozo, has successfully completed hatching, with 65 baby turtles making their way safely to the sea.
This marks another milestone in what has been a remarkable nesting season for Malta.
With this latest success, only one nest remains for the summer, also found at Ramla l-Ħamra, and conservationists are now eagerly awaiting its hatching in the coming days.
Officials and volunteers who have worked tirelessly throughout the season were once again thanked for their dedication, ensuring that these endangered species are given the best possible chance of survival from the moment they hatch.
