59 Year Old Man Dies After Paragliding Accident Off Coast Of St Julian’s

Today, at around 1300hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed after around a mile and a half off the coast of St Julian’s, some persons had gotten injured.
Police convened immediately on site and from preliminary investigations found that a man and a woman were paragliding but unfortunately fell in the water due to the winds.
They were both transported on land with a boat, where they were given medical assistance on site
Unfortunately, the man, a 59 year old English man, was pronounced deceased on site whereas the woman, a 60 year old woman, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital. Her condition is still unknown.
Investigations are still ongoing.
