576 Foreign Nurses, 170 Foreign Doctors In Malta’s Public Health

According to information tabled in parliament by Minister for Health Jo Etienne Abela, there are 576 foreign nurses currently working in Malta’s public health system.
The majority hail from India at 291, following by Pakistan at 112.
Meanwhile, there are a total of 170 foreign doctors, with the majority hailing from Nigeria at 24, followed by Ukraine and India at 15.
The question was posed by PN MP Adrian Delia.
