52% Of Maltese Feel Like They Will Living A Better Life In A Year

According to the State of the Nation, 52.3% of Maltese feel like they will be living a better life in a year’s time, compared to 13.5% who didn’t think so.

The positive outlook saw an increase over the past few years, with 30.4% having responded with yes in 2021 (the height of the pandemic).

47% of respondents said they would be living a better life in 2025, marking a significant increase between last year and 2026.

Meanwhile, 66.7% of 16 to 25 year olds felt they would be living better in a year’s time, compared to 71.8% of 26 to 35 year olds. The older the cohort, the likelier they felt that they would not be living a better life in one year.

Just 43.1% of 56 to 65 year olds said yes. Meanwhile, 68.6% of tertiary students said they would be living a better life in a year, compared to 53.7% of post-secondary students.
