5 Year Old At Risk Of Dying After Buġibba Traffic Accident

A 5 year old boy suffered serious injuries yesterday at around 1315hrs after he was hit by a vehicle in Triq iċ-Ċern.
Preliminary investigations showed that the boy suffered head injuries after he was hit by the mirror of a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 22 year old man resident of Imsida.
A medical team assisted the boy and he was immediately taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further care.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
