A total of 45 officers have officially joined new roles within the Malta Police Force following a brief ceremony held at Police General Headquarters.

During the event, 18 officers were appointed as Police Inspectors, while 27 new Police Patrol & Community Support Officers (PPCSOs) were welcomed into the force.

Addressing the newly appointed Inspectors, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà congratulated them on this important milestone in their policing careers and highlighted the continued transformation of the Malta Police Force into a more open, supportive, and professional organisation.

The Commissioner encouraged the new Inspectors to always put people first by considering the needs of crime victims, families seeking reassurance, businesses operating in a safe environment, and communities expecting an empathetic and reliable service. He also stressed the importance of safeguarding the wellbeing of fellow officers.

Gafà also welcomed the 27 new PPCSOs, noting that their introduction is part of a wider strategy aimed at creating safer communities through intelligence-led policing, increased visibility, and proactive measures based on the needs of the public.

The Malta Police Force said the new appointments reflect its ongoing commitment to strengthening its services and improving its connection with communities across the country.

The newly appointed officers were congratulated for their achievement and wished success in their new roles.
