446 Persons Brought To Court Under Arrest In 2025 For Domestic Violence

According to information tabled in parliament, 446 persons were arraigned in court under arrest for domestic violence charges in 2025.
This was out of a total of 1,635 persons arraigned in court under arrest last year.
Similarly, in 2024, there were 299 domestic violence cases brought to court out of a total of 1,218 brought to court over arrests (including domestic violence).
The rates for this year have not yet been unveiled. The question was posed by MP Davina Sammut Hili and the information tabled by Minister Byron Camilleri.
