41-Year-Old Thai Man Seriously Injured After Explosion in Mġarr Harbour

A 41-year-old man from Thailand sustained serious injuries following an accident that occurred last night at the Marina in Mġarr Harbour, Gozo.
The incident happened at around 9:15pm (2115hrs) when police were informed that an explosion had taken place on a boat.
Officers immediately went on site, where they found the man injured.
Medical assistance was called for, and he was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Members of the Armed Forces of Malta and the Civil Protection Department were also on site to assist in the operation.
Magistrate Dr Simone Grech LL.D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry. Police investigations are still ongoing.
