Four years ago, on March 26th 2022, the Maltese and Gozitan public turned out to vote for the general election, with the Labour Party securing the biggest electoral victory since Malta’s Independence.

The 2022 election, which saw Robert Abela go head-to-head with then PN Leader Bernard Grech, had Labour win 55.11% of the popular vote.

The Labour Party thus retained its majority in parliament, retaining a third consecutive election for the first time since 1981.
