4 Residents Hospitalised After Mosta Apartment Block Fire

Yesterday evening, Civil Protection Malta firefighters from Fire Stations 3 and 11 responded to a structure fire in Mosta.
‘Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in the common area of an apartment block consisting of four units’, CPD Malta explained.
‘A total of 10 firefighters, 2 fire engines, and 1 turntable ladder were deployed to assist in rescuing residents trapped inside their apartments.’
6 residents, along with a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a parrot were rescued from the heavily smoke-filled building.
Four residents were hospitalised for further treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.
CPD thanked Malta Police Force, Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department, Enemalta plc and the private veterinarian who are on site.
