4 Found Driving Drunk This Week By Malta Police

Routine traffic inspections carried out by the Malta Police, with the assistance of LESA officials, continued across several localities this week as part of ongoing efforts to ensure road safety.

The inspections took place in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Ħal Qormi, St Paul’s Bay, Ħal Luqa, Paola, Birżebbuġa, Żejtun, Msida, Ħamrun and Ħal Kirkop.

During the checks, authorities identified 20 drivers without a valid licence and 4 found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, 24 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit, and around 150 other contraventions were issued for various traffic-related offences.

The police emphasised that such inspections are part of their ongoing commitment to improve safety on Maltese roads and reduce reckless driving.
