4 Days Left To Go To Apply For Malta Sustainable Development Action Awards 2026

Only four days remain for interested parties to submit a project or initiative for the highly anticipated Malta Sustainable Development Action Awards 2026, with applications closing on Friday, 14 August 2026 at 12.00 noon.
Established by the Ministry for Energy, the Environment and the Regeneration of the Grand Harbour, the awards aim to recognise outstanding projects that contribute to economic, social and environmental sustainability in Malta, while inspiring others to follow their example.
Applicants are invited to submit one eligible project or initiative that began implementation in 2024 or later and can demonstrate measurable positive impact. Applications must be submitted through the official online application form and supported by evidence clearly showing the achievements and impact of the project.
Projects that have received national or European funding are also eligible, provided that all relevant funding details are disclosed as part of the application process.
Following an initial technical assessment, the three highest-scoring entries in each category will be shortlisted and will then proceed to a public vote.
The awards feature eight distinct categories, reflecting the wide range of initiatives and contributions needed to advance sustainable development across Malta.
Several category winners will receive a €2,000 prize to help further strengthen and expand their initiatives, together with a commemorative trophy. Runners-up will also receive recognition for their achievements.
With the deadline fast approaching, the Ministry is encouraging all eligible stakeholders to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their work and gain national recognition for their commitment to sustainable development.
Interested applicants can find the eligibility requirements and submit their application through the official Malta Sustainable Development Action Awards application page.
Applications close on Friday, 14 August 2026 at 12.00 noon.
