4 Days In Traffic: Maltese Lost Over 90 Hours Due To Rush Hour Traffic In 2025

According to TomTom’s Traffic Index, Maltese spent up to 4 days in traffic in 2025. That’s over 94 hours stuck in congestion, and 3 hours & 50 minutes more than 2024.
The platform also revealed that Monday October 13th was the worst day to travel, with a 98% average congestion level, and a whopping 182% congestion level at 2pm.
For a 10km drive, Malta registered 22 minutes 33 seconds, which is up by 34 seconds over 2024. The average congestion level was 50.5%, which is 1.9 percentage points higher than the previous year.
