37 New Recruits Malta Police Force As Constables

Thirty seven new constables have officially joined the Police Force after completing the rigorous training programme at the Academy for Disciplined Forces.
Accredited at MQF Level 4, the course equips recruits with the skills and knowledge needed to begin serving communities across Malta and Gozo.
The programme combined both physical and academic training, covering 63 subjects ranging from Maltese legislation and ethics to diversity, procedures and investigative work.
Recruits were also trained in handling sensitive cases, including domestic violence, online child abuse, sexual offences and issues related to mental health. This broad curriculum aims to prepare officers for the complex realities of modern policing.

This graduation forms part of a wider strengthening of the Police Force throughout the year, with a net increase of more than 160 full time members. This includes over 100 new or returning sworn officers, as well as 64 additional civilian staff.
During the ceremony, Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment Byron Camilleri encouraged the new constables to embrace their responsibilities with integrity, fairness and empathy.
He stressed that their oath marks the beginning of a meaningful career rooted in public service and reiterated the Government’s commitment to investing in their development.
Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà also addressed the recruits, urging them to uphold the discipline, professionalism and core values of the Force.
