355 Licenses For Buses & Coaches Issued In 2025

Between January and October 2025, a total of 355 new licenses for buses and coaches were issued.
These licenses, Category D and D Automatic, were issued to 49 persons of Maltese nationality, whereas 306 were issued for persons with foreign nationalities.
Last year, 2024, a total of 607 licenses of the same categories were issued. 80 of these were issued to drivers with Maltese nationalities, with 527 issued for foreign nationals.
The question was tabled by PN MP Ivan Bartolo and the response was given by Minister for Transport Chris Bonett.
