34 Year Old Man Arrested After Drug Bust In Marsa

A 34 year old man was arrested following a discovery of over 30 sachets of what is suspected to be cannabis, along with cash, in his jacket and trousers.
The man was stopped in Marsa Road when he tried to escape from the police before they caught and searched him.
The discovery of the drugs brought about circumstances which show that they were not for his personal use, leading to charges of possession and trafficking of drugs.
He was arraigned in court yesterday where he pleaded guilty and remained in police custody.
