32 Year Old Man At Risk Of Dying After Accident In San Ġwann; Separate Accident Leaves Another Woman Injured

A 32 year old motorcycle driver is currently fighting for his life after a traffic accident which occurred in San Ġwann yesterday around 5:00pm.

Preliminary investigations carried out by the police revealed that a Daihatsu Sirion, driven by a 44 year old woman, collided with an Aprilia motorbike driven by a 32 year old man.

A medical team offered assistance on scene before the victim was taken to hospital for further treatment, where he was later certified as having suffered grievous injury.

A separate incident which also took place yesterday around 9:00pm in Ħamrun left a 69 year old woman seriously injured after being hit by car.

Police investigations into both incidents are still underway, and two magisterial inquiries have been opened.
