2nd Maltese Civil Protection Contingent Returns From Portugal Wildfire Operations

Members of the second Civil Protection Malta contingent deployed to Portugal have officially returned following the completion of their deployment.
The firefighters were welcomed at the Malta International Airport by their loved ones after having supported their Portuguese counterparts in wildfire operations.
Their deployment formed part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism’s pre-positioning programme, coordinated through DG ECHO.
