2nd Lieutenants Raina & Wayne Complete Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Cadetship

Second Lieutenants Raina Giusti and Wayne Camilleri successfully completed a 44 week Cadetship at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, ‘which required unwavering dedication, strict discipline, and above all physical and mental resilience.’
‘Throughout the course, both officers were introduced to core military skills including infantry tactics, navigation by day and night, weapon handling, and marksmanship at varying distances.’
The two conducted command roles during tactical exercises, often operating in the field for extended periods of time with limited rest.
They also developed the ability to plan and execute missions, communicate effectively during complex operations, and gained an understanding of how combined arms integrate alongside allied forces.
‘Our officers were continuously assessed not only on my individual performance, but also on ability to lead and support others’, said the AFM.
‘The training was physically demanding, involving long-distance runs, loaded marches, and field exercises in harsh conditions. At the same time, they developed their skills to operate under pressure, manage fatigue, and maintain high standards even in the most challenging environments.’
