28 Packets of Alleged Synthetic Drugs Found In Ħamrun Drug Bust

A 36 year old Libyan man was arrested yesterday in Ħamrun following the discovery of 28 packets of what is suspected to be synthetic drugs were found on his person, along with a weapon and money in cash.

At around 3:00 p.m, the police were patrolling in Trejqet San Pietru, Ħamrun, when they allegedly noticed a person passing a packet of drugs to somebody else.

They proceeded to search the accused where they found the 28 packets of alleged drugs and other items before conducting a search of his residence.

The second search revealed more of what is suspected to be synthetic drugs, blocks of what may be cannabis residue, and other items related to drug trafficking.

The man will be arraigned in court today in front of Magistrate Dr. Claire Stafrace Zammit LLD.
