26 Year Old Man Dies After Three-Car Crash In Santa Venera

A 26-year-old man from Marsa has died following a three-car collision in Santa Venera on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were informed of the accident in Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp at around 5.30pm.

Preliminary investigations found that a Mazda Demio, Nissan X-Trail and Mercedes-Benz C250 were involved in the crash, with the Mazda overturning.

The Mazda was being driven by the 26-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team.

The Nissan was being driven by a 49-year-old Canadian man from San Ġwann, with a 43-year-old South Korean woman, also from San Ġwann, travelling as a passenger.

The Mercedes was driven by a 46-year-old man from Tal-Pietà.

Civil Protection personnel and a medical team were called to assist.

The other people involved in the crash were not injured.

Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea LL.D was informed of the incident and has appointed an inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
