26 Baby Turtles In First Hatching Of Malta Summer 2025!

The Environment & Resources Authority (ERA) has announced that the first turtle nest found this summer in Malta has started to hatch!
26 hatchlings popped out of the eggs in Ġnejna as the first nest found this summer yields a new generation of baby turtles.
‘As the nests will now start hatching, we remind everyone visiting the beaches to take care of the nests and respect the rules of the site’, ERA emphasised.
‘Lights and noise should be kept low near the nesting areas.’
