Around 240 Fratelli and Sorelli participated in the procession for the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Żurrieq this past week.
The Confraternity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Żurrieq is considered the largest confraternity on the island. This year, it is commemorating the 225th anniversary of its foundation.
They all walked through the locality holding up the feast’s sacred statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel dressed in religious garb, and were joined by local feast enthusiasts.
