“As a Government, we believe that the driving force behind the education of our children is the dedication and commitment of educators, whose efforts directly contribute to the success of our students. For this reason, we are making the best possible investment in educators not only financially, but also by involving them directly in the Ministry’s policy-making,” said Minister Grima.

Minister Grima added, “The warrant is a testament that a person is qualified to practise as a teacher and places significant responsibility on those who receive it, as they will be entrusted with educating society’s most precious asset our children.”

In addition to this, yesterday in a parliamentary question and answer, Hon. Ivan Bartolo asked Minister Clifton Grima how many teachers and LSEs had resigned from State schools, to which the Minister replied that while there had been 118 resignations, 228 new teachers had been recruited.
