23 Cyberbullying Cases Taken To Court August-September 2025

It was revealed that between the 5th of August 2025 and the end of September, there were 23 cases of Cyberbullying taken to court by police.
Minister Byron Camilleri, responding to a parliamentary question by MP Chris Said, said that specific provisions on cyberbullying were introduced into the Criminal Code, Chapter 9 of the Laws of Malta, under Article 251BC on 5 August 2025.
Out of the above 23 cases, one culprit was a person under 16 years of age. All the others consisted of persons older than 16 years old.
