220 Students Aged Over 60 Graduated From University Of Malta In Past 10 Years

According to information tabled in parliament, a total of 220 students aged over 60 years old graduated over the past 10 years from the University of Malta.

Minister for Education Byron Camilleri revealed that in the 2015/16 academic year, six students graduated with a Diploma, six with a Bachelor's degree, 10 with a Master's degree, and two with a Doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy/Professional Doctorate).

In the 2016/17 academic year, one student graduated with a Diploma, four with a Bachelor's degree, one with a Postgraduate Certificate, eight with a Master's degree, and two with a Doctorate.

More recently, during the November 2024/March 2025 graduation period, three students graduated with a Diploma, six with a Bachelor's degree, three with a Postgraduate Diploma, eight with a Master's degree, and two with a Doctorate.

During the November 2025/March 2026 graduation period, four students graduated with a Diploma and seven with a Bachelor's degree.
