22 Years Ago, Malta Was Hit By A Massive Torrential

On 15 September 2003, Malta was struck by a severe storm that raged for around seven hours, bringing intense rainfall and frequent lightning across the islands.
According to It-Temp Madwarna,The tempest caused widespread disruption, particularly in central Malta.
The town of Mosta experienced the heaviest downpour, with no less than 230mm (around nine inches) of rain recorded in less than 24 hours.
The storm left a trail of damage and is remembered as one of the most severe weather events in recent Maltese history.
