200 Year Old Palm Tree Snaps During Storm Harry

The oldest and highest palm tree in Malta unfortunately fell victim to Storm Harry between last Monday and Tuesday.
The tree located, Iocated in Marsaxlokk, has been around for 200 years before strong winds reaching 100 km/h snapped it.
Local weather group ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ reported on this unfortunate loss, stating that the palm tree’s location did not help.
The palm tree was facing south-east and therefore was the first stretch of land to be hit by Force 9-10 winds, without shelter.
