2 Men Arrested For Alleged Cocaine Trafficking In St Julian’s

Last Thursday, whilst police were conducting routine check-ups in Triq San Ġorġ, St Julian’s, they noted two men behaving suspiciously in a vehicle.
The two men were stopped and were found to be in possession of 6 hatchets of drugs suspected to be cocaine. The 34 year old resident of Ħal Tarxien was arrested on site.
Meanwhile, at around the same time, police were informed of alleged drug trafficking in a bar in the same road.
The police entered the bar and noted two persons acting suspiciously. A search on one of the individuals yielded 3 sachets of suspected cocaine and 9 with suspected cannabis.
The man, a 36 year old Somalian man, was arrested on site. The two are expected to taken to court today at around noon.
